Icon6 Good old code 14 problem

Here's the story... 1993 Del Sol 1.6L D16z6. The car is currently sitting after not running since November while I have tried to figure out the following problem. Car ran fine (as most usually do). One day, the idle was bouncing bad and it died. Shut the car off, started right back up, and drove fine. Would do this maybe 2x a month. Then it started to do it more and more. Like EVERYDAY more, lol. Ran the CEL and the only code was 14 (IACV). VERY specific. So I took off the TB and replaced the IACV with a brand new one ($200+ later) I then screwed the plastic plunger back in on the FITV. Checked the pin holes in the TB, put everything back together.And............same deal > FIY, the cars gat a new clutch, timing belt, fuel pump, IACV, water pump,O2 sensor, dizzy, cap, rotor. No air in coolant, new thermostat,CAI, and header. Still getting code 14. Any ideas? Trust me I have READ ALOT on this to no avail. Wanna get my baby running again. Help please? Thank you. This is my 3rd Honda with the D16Z as well.

Describe the idle problem.

Does the IACV plug get battery voltage?

What's the resistance across the two terminals of the unplugged IACV?

Haven't gotten a multimeter yet. Going to so I can check sensors. Would a map sensor going bad cause this or what? When it did run, it would start fine, then the rpms bounce like crazy, from like 700 to around 2000, then it would shut the car off. Does it at completely random times.

Anyone, what? We have no new information from you, check what RonJ told you to check and then tell us what you find out.

Finally had time to try and start it. Wouldn't start still. Did crank over tho. Starter is good. My battery terminals got really hot (no I didn't reverse them). The plug to my IACV is grey, as well as one close to it, which plug in the same. The IACV (before I reversed it) has a yellow wire w/a green stripe and a red wire. Is this wrong? When I did reverse them it wanted to crank. Then the battery died, lol. Before I reversed the plugs, it was getting NO fuel. After, I could definitely smell gas. Maybe I have my sensor plugs wrong? Looked in my Haynes and it said that plug goes to the fuel pump possibly(which is new). All other connections look good. Still don't have a multimeter (sorry), to check the voltage. Haven't ran any codes again yet either.

Still wondering why you never answered both questions. He asked you two questions and your one answer was "Yeah. Definitely."

What? Excuse me?

O I'm sorry. I don't have a multimeter yet so I cant test that. And the plug is grey as said above. Stop giving me crap about an old post man. I'm am SO far removed from a NOOB. This is my 3rd Honda. The second one I've swapped motors in. By MYSELF.

I don't care if you have 50 Hondas. You aren't responding to questions put to you and you're not able to properly diagnose issues. For someone that has had 3 Hondas I don't know how you don't own a multimeter and haven't gotten one since 20 days ago.

He also asked you to describe the idle problem and you didn't answer that question either. If you're not going to answer questions, just stop posting.

Wow. My multimeter got stolen, FYI. Maybe you can buy me one? I answered ALL questions. If you took the time to read the posts, I did (in great detail) describe the idle problem, in DETAIL. Just help me solve the problem and stop being a douche. It would hurt you SO bad to help someone I guess. I totally described everything that is going on. This isn't FB dude. It's a helpful place to get car diagnoses done. And so fsar, sir, you arent exactly setting a good example. Do yoiu give everyone crap about there car not running?! Seriously...I'm just here to get some help.

Wow? Multimeters don't cost anything. That's not excuse. You DID NOT answer all questions. The idles problem? "It bounces real bad" is what you said. Not really informative. Apparently not How is anyone supposed to help you when you don't answer questions asked of you in a timely manner?

Good luck with your problem.
