Default Removed car alarm, car won't start.

Hey guys,
I just came back from school and I'm getting ready to put my car on the road. A previous owner had done a shoddy installation of an after-market car alarm. I removed the rats next of a wiring harness that came with the alarm but now the starter wont kick in. All other electrical components work and the battery is brand new. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, wiring is not my forte.

Did you remove any wires spliced into your ignition switch? or remove any relays that looked aftermarket?

I don't think so. Although there is this wire with connectors that attach just above the fuses but I don't know which connectors they plug into. Do wires come spliced from the factory?

it depends on the harness most will not have factory splicing, and any factory splicing there is will be hidden or look stock as nothing is spliced at all. no t-taps/soldered splices/wire connectors from factory. everything is pre-made to plug right in.

are the wires you mentioned or the wires they are connected to large thick gauge?
can you take a picture of these wires, and where they connect? the make/model of the alarm could be of use as well.

Well that's generally the alarms job to stop someone from removing it then taking the car... "how exactly" did you remove it ? no wires don't come hacked into/spliced from the factory

Here are the pictures. The Car alarm is a Prime MX IV. the only thick gauge wires I removed are the yellow and purple in the first picture. And I removed it by tracing the wires from the alarm harness and un-splicing them from the factory harness. there was also a few wires with clips attached above the fuses.

Part of an alarm's job is to prevent the very thing that you tried to do. Same as the woman who posted that she did this same thing last week. Her car was still sitting a week later.
Did you repair that last cut wire?
Unless you returned the wiring to a stock condition you might not get it going any time soon.

first if you already haven't connect that wire in the last pic if that still doesn't do it....you're going to need to get a wiring diagram of the dash harness maybe a simple fix but it may not. my teg has a hacked in alarm that is "in-op" in not going to be attempting to remove it anytime soon for this reason too may ppl with no start issues after. even tho I have a diagram i'm still not looking forward to it.

disconnecting the relay with the yellow and purple wires from it is disabling your starter .

with the ignition off or batter disconnected. splice the black/white wire together (this is from your ignition switch to starter)

and tape the black yellow wire with electrical tape wrapping it tightly.

as for the other dangling connectors i assume they are for something else other than ign. (option ports on fuse box would need diagram)

good to hear. but you can't just leave wires that were spliced tighter unhooked lol. but there have been worse cases of ppl doing this. I didn't catch that(the starter wire not connected) as it was to hard to see in the last pic +1 to silky

Hey!...no one said anything about hot wiring!1!...lol

np glad I could help. be sure to tape or heat shrink these wires well. they are not wires you want to short out.

As long as your car doesn't have a remote start or a starter kill relay, taking an alarm out is pretty straight forward. even with a starter kill..to a thief, if an alarm is not installed by a thief or someone who knows their methods, they are hardly a deterrent at all and quite simple to disable.
