Default Temp gauge going crazy...

k my temp gauge its going loco big time....
on idle it reads ok.. i rev the engine on a stand still and its ok....
now once i start rolling and going, the gauge goes crazy.... everytime i shift the gauge goes all the way down... as soon i keep reving on a gear it goes up to normal... it happens every time i shift.... or if i gun and let the gas go on a gear....

my question is,,, wich sensor its really the one that sends the signal to the gauge?? maybe the coinector its loose... is it the oe on the head underneith the Dizzy with a butllet conector?? i need to check this soon its get anoying jejeje

i wonder if your water pump is going out...I remember that happening to me on my 88 accord years ago...temp gauge would fluctuate especially when I rev motor.

the weird thing its that it does it only while reving on a gear... out of gear everything its good... i guess it goes with momentum of engine

i hitnk it could be the plug needs to be cleaned on the back of the cluster. The on on the passs side above speedo cable. pull it out and clean it replace tightly then go.

Fixed my wiered temp problems. mine would go up every time you are rolling and use turn signal left haha

I'm thinking it could be the water pump also. When the water pumps went out on both of my parents vehicles, the temp was HOT!!!

Or you might just need to burp your coolant?

try checking you temp gauge sensor. it might be a loose connection. my did the same thing, following the rpm's of the car. it doesn't hurt to check.

To answer your question, its the one below the distributor. below the vtec solenoid on a b-series, I think its a green plug, the sensor has a black terminal.

hth,

Monty

BTW - I can get you a part number if you need it, I just bought one.
