My First Build EH6
Well, as the title states this is going to be my first full fledged build and I thought I'd document everything. I've always wanted to start a build and I've done a lot of minor mechanical work on a variety of vehicles but, nothing this advance and not alone, although I will have an extra pair of hands from time to time. Anyways.. ONWARD!
The vehicle of choice is a 1994 Del Sol Si, or EH6 according to the chasis code. I've always been very fond of these vehicles since they're visually more unique than any other Honda out there IMO. And on with the Pictures!

So far, my goal is to fix any and all issues currently wrong with the vehicle and then to move on to power goals.

As for power goals of the vehicle, I am currently looking into a swap, considering a k-series over the b-series because of the displacement and better power supply for anything I may do as I progress. Due to the fact that I live in Cali, and how strict the dam smog laws are, I'm constraint to many options and what not. My major goal is around 250 WHP RELIABLY and LEGALLY.
Two Options:
B18c5 (190Hp)
K20z1 (209Hp)
From browsing around they appear to be around the same price because of the whole "Type R" hype, although the K- series is a better powerplant for obvious reasons. The GSR (B18c1) is around 1 - 1.5k less than both though.

My plan is to respray but I'm going to go with a gunmetal grey color. Been always fond of the gtr lol. Other than that though, it is a straight body as far as i can see, but it does hold a salvage title from a fender bender the previous owner was in. Front left corner. No frame damage as far as I can or could see, but as I tear the suspension apart, I will find out. Already tore the entire interior out including the dash and carpet. Found glass from the windshield from the accident lol.

Whenever you get around to respraying, make sure you take all that faded/peeling/oxidized paint off if you want it to last. Not just the clear, ALL the paint. Sand it down to the stock primer, and use etching primer on any parts you sand to bare metal. Try your best not to take the stock primer off though, it's a special type of primer designed to make paint adhear to the car. I forgot the actual name of it, it's been a couple years since I painted my car. Spray new primer over the stock primer then continue with your paint job. This will make your paint job last much longer.
