Hello all, just recently purchased my first car ^_^. A 2000 Honda civic ex and I would like to know more about it. I'm a complete noob with Hondas and cars in general. LOL. But I figured since I'm going to be driving this, might as well know the insides and outs. And would like to know more since the majority of my friends are honda owners, so it would be nice to know what they are talking about. LOL. I would also like to add some cool stuff to it too... The car is all stock and is a 5speed...

No styling, content or trim changes for the 2000 Honda Civic. The performance-oriented Si continues for 2000, and there have been paint comings and goings: Taffeta White has been added to the CX and DX Hatchback, and Dark Amethyst has been dropped; Titanium Metallic comes to the DX, LX and EX Sedan, and Vogue Silver is gone. Vintage Plum is now available to the LX and EX Sedan, and Inza Red has been eliminated.

 

Most important things to know about your civic... An flashy body kit and as many stickers as you can find will NOT add power to your Honda!

 

Another good tip. Lock it up good or it will disappear

 

Couple things for a newb :

1. Security. If you don't want to lose it, either keep it in a safe place at all times or grab an alarm at the very least. Early gen Civics are easy as hell to break into. Takes about 60 seconds or less.

2. When in doubt, go OEM. Stuff like headgaskets, oil pumps, and other small maintenance pieces are usually best off OEM. That means original; like what the car came from the factory with.

3. NO RICE! Please lol. No bodykits especially.

4. Keep the car maintained and it will take care of you.

my hatch had the *** end destroyed as well, the impact broke the hinges on my seat and fucked my back up bad, your lucky if your not hurt.

 

The hinges on my seats broke as well, not so much my back, but my neck is banged up bad.

 

My neck hurts like ****, I been going to a chiropractor cuz I can't sit up on my own

 

Are you filing a suit against your insurance or the other driver's insurance or both?
