If i am i going to boost this motor do i have to convert?
What would happen if i did not convert?
If i do convert what would i have to do?

To properly tune it, yes, you would need to convert. If you don't, the simple answer is this: your engine won't get enough fuel in boost, which will cause detonation, which will cause your sleeves to shatter, your rods to snap, and your pistons to try to achieve escape velocity. Converting is simple. Use an adapter harness to drop in a socketed ECU, and convert from a 3 wire to a 2 wire IACV.

 

Also note if you live in a state that requires emissions testing with the OBD2 scanner portion the obd1 ECU will fail.
