Fiberglass close an open Wings West Bumper
I know they sell fiberglass matting that you soak with resin and then lay on your working surface and then apply more resin as needed. Then it hardens; you sand til smooth etc.
My question, has anyone done this? I'm sure it's been done before just looking for pointers. Like what can I use to support the fiberglass in the open areas while it dries so it doesn't sag.
Can I use like a felt material wrapped around the bumper like you would use on a speaker enclosure? I'm assuming it would work, just looking for advice.
It was a free front end so I'd rather do this then buy one.

Youtube will be your best friend on that one, watch and learn. If you've never messed with fiberglass before make something small for practice before you go to what u are trying to do. Do some research tho there's more to it than just soaking the mat and let it harden.
This is the front end I got for free. Other than watching videos, anyone attempt this before. Trying to make what I have work instead of buying a hard to find and expensive 3 pc.
Thanks in advance.
