engine wire harness help
I have a 96 civic with a jdm b16 second gen...
the wire harness was messed up so I bought a z6 engine wire harness cuz I was told it would work...
but I went to plug it up to the shock tower connectors and they don't match at all...
will this harness even work?? the car is obd2 and the engine wire harness is obd1

Have to use the harness that came in the 96-98 Civic either for the Y7 or Y8. Either harness will require some modification but the Y8 harness will require the least. 92-95 aren't compatible at all. Which ECU will you be using?
OK then get a 96-98 EX harness. Most will plug and play. Check here for the additional wiring:

HondaPartsHero, will that link u put work for a b16a second gen motor in a 96 hatch? I didn't see the b16a part in the link... I am bout to get a y7 harness I kno I have to wire up vtec jus wanna make sure theres a diagram in that link for obd1 engine into obd2 car with obd1 p28 ecu
ok so yesterday I bought a y7 engine wire harness and I put it in, I had to extend a few wire n switch a few connectors but its good now... check engine light is finally off!! lol...
