I recently purchased a full swap(obd1 96+ gsr b18c) from tigerjapanese.com for my 95 civic ex coupe(ej1). I ordered the ecu with the swap and they sent me a P06 swapped to a P28 and then chipped for this swap?? Im not as edumacated as i should be about this stuff but im trying to learn. I feel like this ecu is running my motor like ****. It hits vtec really late and feels very laggy. It idled high at first until too?? can someone help me out with figuring this problem out!

 

What intake manifold are you running?

Is your check engine light on?
If so, check the codes and resolve them.

and do i have to buy a obd1 reader to be able to check the codes cause the auto part stores have an obd2 reader?

 

Your first action should ALWAYS be to check your codes. no, you do not need a scanner, search for how to do it. We'll go from there. Next time google for the problems you're having so you don't have to wait for us to respond - just about every issue with Hondas has already been addressed on forums.
