Anyone have one? What is your review on it.

My h22a OEM tensinor is shot and I may as well order this one.

Thanks

I have one, as well as the full manual tensioner swap, and I like the KS unit much more!

Only thing I don't like about it is there is not a very specific way to set the belt tension. First time belt was too loose and now it's too tight but I don't feel like getting in there again (doing a motor swap in a few months). Wish they had a short open-end wrench for the smaller adjusting nut like they provide for the larger one too.

I could agree it would be nice to have but a basic tool set gets it done and a stubby 14mm is all you need for that.

how does the ks tensioner deal with belt stretch? also whats the interval of tightening it to ensure it remains taunt?

just like any other manual tensioner. I'd check the tension anytime you have the valve cover off to do a valve adjustment. A new belt will have a break in period where it will stretch but beyond that it should remain constant until its time comes to change it from general use.

this is, of course, for street engines which dont see a lot of RPM. I check my race motor after most track passes as 10.5K rpm along with stiff valvetrain can put its toll on a belt. Plus I'm a tad OCD.

that video doesnt explain anything but how to install the unit. it does not discuss belt stretch or tightening intervals.

Running both the manual tensioner and eliminator kit on my motor. No complaints about either. I think they're great products and work well in conjunction.

I wish I had installed an oil pressure guage before going with the eliminator and getting a reading after. Anyone have any idea of how much psi you gain with the kit installed?

I once read that you gain about 7psi at idle with it, but a guage before and after would have been awesome for data sake.

The video IMO is not very useful since I presume a lot of people install this in-car, not on a stand and they also don't give any useful reference for belt tension. I am putting together an engine at home and plan on throwing on an old auto-tensioner I have and testing the belt tension at a couple points so I have something to shoot for when I put the KS tensioner on it. I like the product, the instructions are just a bit lacking.
