whats up guys im having a really annoying problem i just put a new h22 in my 94 si cranks runs i go to my shifter and it refuses to go in gear when my car is running, i can put my car in gear when its off release the clutch and it moves.. so my clutch is fine? major wtf

 

This may be a clutch problem or a cluthch slave, what is happening is the transmission is not completely stopped spinning, so as you try to go into gear the clutch is not disengaged completely. this can be due to a bad slave or master.

The fluid for the clutch master, make sure its full. if low then you may have a leak. if low fill and pump pedal a few times to see if that helps.

If clutch master is low or full go to trany and locate the cltuch release fork on the transmission at the end you will see clutch slave, make sure there are no leaks. have someone push clutch pedal as you watch the fork move. make sure it move the distance. if its leaking then its bad.


The last thing would be the clutch pressure plate or disc, this is hard to see without removing transmission, If something broke away from cluch plate and is jammed against plate this will keep traany spinnig, but it would also be hard to get into first.

 

So i bled the clutch that doesnt seem to be the problem, so basically the clutch isnt working with the swap. I heard there was a way to adjust some cars is this possible in my case? or do i have to pull the engine and put a new clutch in or use the one off my old block?

 

What swap? This should be a straight forward thing. Its not a hybrid swap.

You will need to pull the transmission either way, but I think it could be that your throw out bearing is not allowing for the pressure to be released to engage the power from the engine to the transmission.

 

So, after driving for about a month i guess it was the synchronizers i screwed up it has worked itself back to normal which seems very unlikely.
