Icon2 Ordered sandwich plate for feed

So I ordered this sandwich plate from Jegs the other day and now that I actually am doing the research I notice not many people use them on HT. I want to run the oil feed line and also have a oil pressure gauge.

Both inlet and outlet of this piece is 3/8". I'm not sure if that is the common measurement, but I was expecting NPT or AN compatability. My real question is, is this sandwich plate going to be futile since it might just be for an oil cooler?

On another note I do have a steel T instead of a brass one that I could use for the feed, but I've read that the possibility of it breaking is higher.

I can't answer the other question
I have a sandwich plate, been running it for quite some time. No issues here because I didn't want to tap off the oil pressure sensor

Even using a socket to torque it down? I had that problem just hand tightening that bolt. Used a 27 mm socket (MFactory plate) to torque it down and haven't had a problem since.

That is because you have toothpick arms. Torque it down to about 5-10 ft lbs less than factory. You don't want to match factory specs or go above them for that matter as it strains the part to failure.

I got a glow shift one. My blog started leaking and it was hard to find a replacement oring for it since it was double.

Bt the fittings on my are 1/8npt. The I got a 4an to 1/8npt to run my feed line.

3/8 sounds like coolant or oil filter relocation kit.

There should be more than 1 option. Some sandwiches are specifically plumbed for external oil coolers, some for large oil lines and some for 1/8"NPT fittings for sensors/feed lines.

I am using a Golden Eagle sandwhich and I had a choice between 4 or 5 versions with a variety of fittings. Typically oil feed lines require a 1/8"NPT -> AN adaptor if you do not want to to "T" off the factory oil pressure sensor.

Looks like you purchased the incorrect sandwich for your setup.

The problem is a lot of the cheaper sandwich adapters feed unfiltered oil to those ports. There is a reason they are so cheap... Most people couldn't care less or are truly ignorant to that fact.

I've used a glowshift one for a while now, and my o-ring broke too. They sell them on their eBay store for like $2.

50 ft lbs. Never had a problem since.

Oh and for people that lose their orings, I found out you can go to Walmart or wherever they sell massive options of oil filters. You can pull the orings off of oil filters and test fit them on your sandwhich adapter. I found one that fit perfectly lol.

Mine does the same thing! So last go around I put a dab of thread sealer on the pc that's screws onto the factory orifice.

Most people WAY over torque their oil filter anyways. If you need a tool to take it off, you are either extremely weak or put it on WAY too tight...

I always put ny filters on hand tight but it seems that after repeated heat cycles it either work hardens to the threads or just shrinks lol. But I've always had this problem with the K24, even the LS7 on occasion.

Maybe I need to try a small dab of anti seize on the mount threads. We have to safety wire the filter on the LS7 due to track tech requirements (Road Atlanta and Atlanta Motorsports Park, as well as Barber)
