i just picked up a garrett gtx3576r. I have both the t3 gt 3" inch vband housing in both .63 and .82 ar. Which one should i use?
I currently have a ball bearing 50 trim making about 380whp on 91 octane and 500whp on e85. My goal is to make 450whp on 91 octane. I do not plan to run or tune for e85/race gas. Boost will most likely b 11-13psi. This is all on a stock s2000 f20c.

Dyno both and let us know the difference! Since you dont plan to push the limits of the turbo Id use the .63 but since you already have both, Id try both.
My opinion is you can make up that torque difference with a few more psi on the .63 but it will also spool a few hundred rpm faster. Its not going to taper off either because youre not anywhere close to breaking a sweat with that turbo at 450/500.

i'm about to slap the turbo on and get the car retuned next week and i'm still very undecided on which of these two housings i should run.
please remember that i'm not going to be running e85/race gas and i'm only going to get tuned on 91 octane which means only 11-13psi of boost and i'm expecting anywhere from 400-450whp.

Its up to you, but I deal with that housing and turbine combination on a regular basis. You've got nothing to worry about with that goal, seriously.
Don't think Evolution like your GT3586HTA where its pushed to the wall. you've got an efficient cylinder head and enough displacement to handle it fine.
.63A/R... Done..
When he puts some good boost pressure, then he'll show some real changes in peak power.
Out of curiosity why did you go with such a large turbo with a 450whp goal, and no intention of going higher? thats low boost for that turbo. Seems the Gtx3076r would have been a better fit. It's strictly a street car right?
It still a really nice turbo tho, so cant blame you there if you got it for room to grow. But by saying you want to run that turbo at such low boost levels with relativley low power goals (for that turbo) Makes me question your logic?
btw, i think ive mentioned this before....but 500whp is impressive from your last setup on a 50trim...That must have been one hell of powerband

I'm pretty sure it's some got something to do with his 91 octane rating vs IAT's (brief memory from a past thread). I'm sure he'll elaborate if so....

As far as me running low boost its because of 2 things. One, its because i'm on a stock s2000 11:1 compression engine. Two, the car must run straight 91 octane fuel. I always run as much boost that safe on the type of fuel i'm tuning on. With 91 octane the most boost that my tuner runs is usually 11-13psi. With e85/race gas your fuel is not the limiting factor, so you can typically run as much boost as you want to max out your turbo/engine/ fuel system.
