af ratio leans out after warm start
its a H22 turbo running on HondataS300 w/ aem wideband. like the title says after the car warms up and i turn it off to put gas or something the af ratio climbs to lean and stays there for a while. it will go down sooner if i drive it but the af ratio still stays high for a minute or 2. cold starts are fine though.
Guage reads 16,17,and --- so very lean. The sensor is monted about 10 inches from the outlet afterba c bend. I know it should be closer but space was an issue. I have no prolems with readings other then this or when in closed loop the af ratio woul climb to 10 when im at a steady speed (Freeway driving). Btwim in open loop right now.
does it run ok?
an AFR that lean, you will feel it running that lean most times as it can hesitate, buck...etc from wanting more fuel. on the flip side, an AFR that rich will be felt as well. You will get a bogging feeling from overfueling.

Actually that does help just have to fine tune it. Im just concerned cause it gets very hot here in vegas. And yes it runs poor when the af ratio reads lean
kinda sound like cylinder wash. try revving it up to 2k and killing it if you plan on hot starting. should leave enough oil in there to hold compression.
If you're in closed loop with your wideband you may want to wait until it warms up before you turn it, or just take the lazy route and add more fuel to your high load idle range.
I've had problems hot starting with soggy ignition in the high load idle range also, you might consider adding a few degrees.
