AEM F/IC with 00 Prelude
2000 Prelude (Automatic)
Was running an FMU before the car was tuned, and was running into P0420 (Cat inefficiency) CELs. I put some spacers on the rear O2 sensor, didn't really drive it enough to see if it helped.
Had the AEM F/IC installed (Along with ID 725 Injectors) and Tuned, car runs fine, but ran into a few issues during the tuning phase. I have a Map sensor block that was taken off of the car during the tune, which in turn, actually made my car run like crap. I had to have them put the block back on and retune. (Note: During the tune, the tuners had to call AEM as the Piggyback wasn't allowing the car to even start, and wouldn't locate the TPS sensor. AEM told them to fix a few wires and it seemed to work)
Both times (Before and after the map sensor block tunes) I was hit with 2 CELS - P0170 and P0172 (Fuel trim Error and Running Rich)
I was told to put a spacer on the front O2 sensor.
I called them up, they said they were going to call AEM to troubleshoot this. I can't tell if this is an F/IC problem, an injector problem, or if the car simply needs to be tuned and leaned out some more?
I worry about getting the run around and have called AEM myself, they told me to offset the voltage, which according to the tuner, my car does not have that kind of set up with the o2 sensors.
Any input to help solve this problem would be appreciated.

can you explain the o2 sensor clamp so we are all clear?
What is your afr on the wideband?
I been up and running for over a yr with my setup. Tune it all by myself and I'm pretty good at the aem fic.
Bt your probably not running the right afr.
And the map sensor should be clamp in the fic settings.

The map sensor is a clamp value. The AFR is what the FIC will send to the stock computer for whatever your conditions are so that it thinks it is the correct AFR even though you might not be according to the stock computer

Everything is the same other than idle.
I'm not familiar with those load values considering that looks like a boost only table. But even still....a tuned engine will be different at every rpm/load increment

The table is not right. It should ADD fuel (or less of a negative correction) as it goes into boost. Looks like it is a basemap. I am sure the timing map is bad too. Make sure the FIC has the map sensor hooked up too.
more info on the setup. this isnt turbo is it?
and change the map load to psia its eaier to read since its on a scale of 3-15 for vac and 16 and up for boost psi.
also need screen shot of setting window. irt can really mess up a tune.
so post setting widow and o2 map.
I been runing my turbo civic with 410cc rdx injector. o2 wire from fic isnt hook up and I don't get this problem.

I'll go get the setting window screenshot, but the o2 map will have to wait.
Edit: Settings uploaded
First off you should have a map sensor. Not a maf.
Next it should be on voltage and clamp around 2.79-2.83volts.
Then injector rtp seems low. What kind of injectors are you using?
My Rdx 410cc where around 810us
And then with this being turbo that fuel map needs to be change big time.
And the injector scaling should be around -53. ( stock 345cc / 725 = .47. 47 - 100 = -53)
Same for my injectors 240/410 =.58. 58 - 100 = -42 which is where mines is at.
Then put the fuel ap n psia so it will read 3psia to 15psia (vacuum with 15psia = 0inhg)
And 16pisa = 1psi boost pressure. I run 24.5psia or 9.5psi boost.
Once that is done. Every thing from 3psia to 15psia will be the same (-53)
And 16psia will be a different number. Probably around -48 for boost.
Then 17psia -40, 18psia -35, and so on until you get to the top.
Those are just number you will need to tune it with a wideband to get the afr right.
Also I never used the o2 map it just caused me problems.
So who ever tune your car did not do a good job. If you live close by I'd take alook at it but other then that find a new tuner. I can make you a base map tho.
ill make it and upload it when I get home later.
give me the.turbo setup information
and a pix of the bay.
Car has very rough start ups, and a clunking during start up as well. Lots of misfires and stalling.
I flashed the z107.hex and it seemed to be worse, the z110.hex stalls out occasionally, and the z104.hex gives me a compatibility issue (I downloaded the version from AEM's site, not the one that came with the FIC).
