I'm guessing the Fl heat got a little too much for the stock sunroof but it just flew off randomly down the interstate. Wasn't speeding acting the fool etc....just odd...never heard of that before, but then I googled it and of course it has happened to others...particularly in hotter climates...

my question is do i have any other options besides the glass...I like to still open it, but couldn't really care if sun shines through. I usually just crack it for air or at night i'll just put it all the way back. I've read where a guy made sunroof deletes for 400.00 but it seemed to be more designated for racing...id like to have a cheaper option, but I guess it depends...anybody else have this problem and end up solving it one way or another?

If it comes down to it i could always goto a junk yard or just order another piece of glass....but like to just do a fiberglass, metal, plastic or even cf cover instead...any suggestions?

 

just get another from the junk yard definitely the cheapest option possibly see about urethane it to its mount or something lol

dont like the sun put some dark tint on it but buy good tint so it dont purple on you quickly

Google the term "roof plug".

 

Most sunroof block offs/deletes are DIY's not many companys(if any) sell a kit.

 

Judy go to the junk yard and save yourself a lot of time and money. Unless you plan on trying to really try it into a beast

 

i saw a eg build on here where buddy drilled a wack of holes and screwed sheet metal to his roof.it looked awesome i mean aweful.
