Default my 94 si build

I bought the car in may of 2012 to replace my jeep (money pit) and had all intentions of keeping it stock-ish until i found out my fiance was steppin out. kick the girl to the curve, the money starts piling up
was bone stock with the h23. well i missed vtec and my old h22 but wanted something "different"

Interior
-stock everything
-skunk2 shift ****

Exterior
-fresh paint
-oem mud flaps
-spoon style lip

Engine
-F20B
-Chipped P06
-Full exhaust

Suspension
-eibach ground controls
-unknown struts

Future mods
-5 lug conversion
-window tint (15% all around)
-accord rear lip
-new clutch
-eventually all motor build

now time for the pics
-The day i bought it

The stock h23 only last me about a month before it bent a rod. i was completely crushed! unfortunately the car ending up sitting for a year. after getting rid of a $hittay fiance i got to work as soon as possible. i new i wanted vtec but just wasnt sure exactly what i wanted to go with. i had a h22 in my 92 and had no complaints but still wanted something different so i went with an F20B!! sure glad i did too!

let the picture roll

out with the old, in with the new!!

To make the F20b obd1 compatible i used the upper plenum, distributor, fuel rail, injectors, h23 harness, power steering pump and branket, ac compressor and a couple other little odd and ends from my h23 along with my h23 stock mounts.

new carrier bearing and seal for my half shaft. they rarely go out but when they do itl cause a vibration, one very similiar to an axle going out. two upper balljoints, 2 drivers side axle and 1 passenger side axle later i finally figured out what was wrong. wouldnt say money wasted, just replaced alot of old parts sooner then i wanted to!

finally got around to changing out drivers side axle and carrier bearing. after replacing just about everything up front, she finally drives nice and smooth without any vibrations at all!

I know that they shouldnt look like this! that could explain some things

the half shaft with the new bearing on it. i didnt get any pics of the original bearing but it was pretty wasted.

This is awesome. Keep the step by steps coming. I'm the owner of the 1995 project on this forum and will be doing exactly what you are. I'm finishing up my interior and then will move on to suspension and bushings. After that I will be doing the H23 to H22 swap.

Your posts will make for a very good reference!

its really not as bad as some may think. i had everything off and torn apart in only 30 mins. when you start to tear into it and need to know anything feel free to ask! ive had mine in peices and put back together a couple times now. pretty much know my way around the entire car now!

Currently I am looking into this engine and tranny. I have not done much research yet on engine types as i'm a long ways away from having to worry about that.

what transmission do you currently have? i have the h23 tranny on my f20b and love it. around high way speeds i sit around 3k but with my 92 with h22 motor and tranny i sat closer to 4k while on the high way. i guess im partial to the f20b because it was made for more of an all motor build and since i can rev mine to 8300 the h23 tranny doesnt bother me any.

if you havent already check out hmotorsonline.com

you might be able to find what your looking for a lil cheaper, lol or not

haven't updated this in a while but haven't done to much except drive it, change out some wheel studs that got stripped out by a tech at dobbs and maxed out my coil sleeves, its kinda slammed I guess you could say . I will be starting a small wire tuck this weekend to try and clean up the bay a little bit and probably ordering a rear window visor for it as well this weekend. ill have some pics up once I get a chance here soon.

well, for being slammed around the high way from an 18 wheeler in the middle of a snow storm she doesnt look really all that bad but she'll be needing a new bumper, headlights and 1 corner marker, hood, fender, and just a tid bit of suspension work.

BUT my times in hondas and lowered cars may be coming to an end because of another accident i was in about 2 months ago. while with a friend an awesome drunk driver nodded off at the wheel and took his car, and my friends and drove us right into the middle barricade on 44, a main highway in stl and resulting in the driver getting a concusion and 3 cracked ribs while i recieved a concusion, dislocated hip, crushed lower vert in my back and a severely injured neck. i was told my neck was "as "broken" as it could be, without actually breaking." ive been out of work and pretty much bedrested for 2 months now with the exception of rehab and therapy. as much as i want to keep the lude, well driving it now just, hurts.

can you find out shipping to 63089? i have a pretty hefty settlement comin my way so depending on shipping i may hold out for a mugen front bumper or if everything goes as planned but it wouldnt hurt to have a spare sitting around, expecially the way my lucks been lately with cars.
