Default leak down test fail?

although this is my first time doing he leak down procedure, i know im doing this right. my results are showing 100% LEAK IN ALL CYLINDERS. This is how i am doing it.

1. warm engine
2. remove spark plugs
3. set a cylinder to tdc
4. plug threaded hose to that cylinder
5. plug in compressor and set guage to 100psi and lock the guage
6. plug hose to guage

and automatically it reads 100%leakage. i should also say that air is coming out from the spark plug hole were it is hreaded hand tight. How could air leak through the spark plug hole when it is threaded hand tighr already? i used different hoses along wih different couplers and still the same thing. what am i doing wrong? or what is wrong with my summit racing leak down test equipment?

well it's not unheard of for the threds in the head to become worn down how many miles on the engine/what engine

did you do a comp test just for the hack of it ? try a bit of teflon tape on the thred that goes to the spark plug hole you shouldn't need to be still.

those are good numbers(aside from1&3) why the leakdown tester shows 100% leak in all cyl's is most likely due to the lack of seal with the tube. but the comp test would say other wise you CAN use the hose from you comp tester is that what you tried

the compression tester hose is different since it has that schrader valve at the end kinda like a tire valve. i am gonna redo it again probably later today or tomorrow morning. any one with other suggestions feel free to tell

see if you can take the schrader part of your compression test hose out, and then use it.
