good single cam build

Icon6 good single cam build

I have a d16y7 with a y8 intake manifold in a 97 ek im parting out. my 98 ek is my daily with no motor. then i got a y7 head with a d16z6 block with z6 intake manifold. outta all these parts how can i combine these to make a good running single cam?

This is simple. Combine the D16Y7 block and the D16Y7 head with the D16Y8 intake manifold. You will have a good running single cam assuming your components are in good order, and you do it right.

Google provided a plethora of write ups on how to install the Y8 Intake manifold on to the Y7 head.

well ive chosen to go complete y7 motor with y8 intake manifold. do u know any good performance chips?

Just wondering as to why you want the y7 head and not a z6 or y8 head to have Vtec?

Just sell the whole car OP by single cam build i hope you mean just something that "runs" and by no means are planning to dump money into a D16Y7

How did we go from "a good running single cam" to a "performance" D series motor? If you want performance then you are attempting to find it with the wrong motor.
