how can i identify what engine i have, the previous owner shaved off my numbers.(((

 

Post up a pic and I'm sure someone will be able to ID it for you.... There are usually casting numbers on the head and intake that could shed some light on this situation. However, the markings on the head are behind the exhaust flange and the intake markings are on the bottom/back IIRC.

If they shaved off the engine block code, who knows what intake and head they have on there. Could be some sort of hybrid build.

What year and model Accord do you have?

 

If its completely stock there should be a tag on the passenger side block down by the front engine mount. Will most likely be an F22A/Bx or H22Ax.
