Hi I am stuck with a honda accord 2003 which has the k24a4 in it... It is an automatic as well but regardless I have no option in replacing this vehicle and I wanted to make it fun as it does handle pretty well in the back roads... I currently only really have a short ram intake on it and that is about it... I know in order to make it any good you would have to replace the head with a k20a2 head or possibly a k24a4 head but I have no experience or the equipment to take the engine out and do such a job and I wanted something I could do more quickly since this is my daily as well... Now since this engine has 2 lobes on the intake side and 1 on the exhaust making it a "non v-tec" would simply replacing the camshafts make it a real v-tec ? What upgrades could I do without taking out the engine that are fairly simple to make this a killer engine ? Thanks !

 

That engine sucks. Period. There's no way around it short of spending a lot of money.
