Walbro 255 problems with stock FPR
Replaced my block due to rings being bad also removed my turbo system for the time being. Having problems running my all motor B16a2 its all stock, wont even idle right and when i press gas dies out completely after a few seconds almost seems like not enough fuel but i used a fuel pressure tester and its reading 100 + lbs. the gauge only goes up too 100 lbs so hard to say exact number. Used same tester on a running CRV and got 40 lbs. Seems like my walbro put out more fuel then the stock FPR can handle. Tried another stock FPR and i get same problem. Weird since this same setup ran my turbo setup fine, now it cant even rev up in neutral normally, even if i still had turbo on i dont think it would rev up normally since u cant create boost in neutral.
the only solution i can think of is upgrading fuel rail and FPR. any one have some ideas for me??
thankyou

True the fuel psi may be high but.
Are you running the right ecu for your injectors?
And walbro have been known to up the fuel pressure.
Check the return line for blockage.

The only way you are getting 100psi on a Walbro and stock FPR is with a restricted return line. The typical increase in pressure is about to 50-55psi or so with a standard Walbro.
Where are you using the tester at?
Also, you are using the correct injectors for your ECU, right?

i have removed the return line completely to troubleshoot this problem. I fitted a 1ft line going to a gas can and not much fuel comes out. I am using 525cc injectors with a pherable chipped basemap for those injectors ran those when i was boosted and it ran fine
What does your wideband read?
Are you positive you have everything installed correctly for the fuel supply line - no kinks?
When the car bogs down and dies, pull a plug. Is it wet with fuel?

yeah theres no kinks after the fuel filter for sure i didnt really change anything withe the lines when i replaced the block but will double check. i can do that test with a spark plug when i get home thanks
Sounds like you have a blockage between the FPR and pressure gauge. Take everything apart and confirm its clean with compressed air or pipe cleaners.

ye ai was considering the rail but looks pretty much not blocked at all but i will do what you said its either a block in the line rail or fpr for sure
check the return line. if you swapped the fpr with a good one and got the same results its not the fpr. and the 255lph is irrelevant. your problem is somewhere else.
thanks but i previously stated i have the return line bypassed and usin a 1 ft house routed to a gas can to troubleshoot this
Solved: i had a old style b16 rail and somewhere down the line i used the wrong connection on the banjo fitting that goes to the fuel rail i needed to use a pressure damper nut since the fuel rail dont have the extra hole on the port. Thanks for help HT
