Default Can my block be salvaged? (pic inside)

Well I have this b16a block just sitting in my garage and I want to know if it can be resleeved to say 84mm. As you can see its missing alot of #4 cyl side wall. Also a qusestion about resleeving to 84 mm on a B16a. Do they machine out the whole sleeve or do they pull the inner sleeve and bore out the outer wall and drop in larger sleeves and let the outer wall be thinner than stock. Basicly wondering how they resleeve and if this block can be done. Thanks

You can't punch that block out more than it is now - look at the wall thickness between pistons - if you bore it out more - you will have paper-thin cylinder walls.

Ditch it.

Don't throw that away. Get in contact with golden eagle sleeving and see if they can sleeve it. I'm pretty sure they only need the bottom of the sleeves to be in tact to put the new sleeves in.

A better picture would help if you can get one

Yea I thought about sending them some pics but didn't know if it was worth it. I guess I will see if they can at least give a core exchane or something. Doesn't golden eagle lurk around here sometimes? I am pretty sure I've seen a rep or some one from there. If some one could send then an IM to this thread I will get some more closeups posted in this thread and see what they have to say. I would like for them to do the work if its possible. Thanks for the help guys.

What are you talking about? Punch out what? Did you not notice 1/3 of the cylinder wall missing from the #4 hole?

Send in the block to Vince at GE, I'll bet he can sleeve it to 84mm like you want.

LOL, I was wondering what he was talking about too. Was he even looking at the same pic?
If GE cant help you, then clean it up and use it a a coffee table or something.

I hate to tell you this, but from the looks of it, that block is a big paper weight! If you can get some more CLEAR pics, maybe I can see a little better and determine if it can be salvaged!!!
