what to expect from my swap
My b16 arrives this month and im kinda curious on what to expect.
I have a d15b/y8 with a chipped p28 and i am going to a b16 sir-ii motor. I have heard many different opinions on how it lacks torque before vtec, but i was just wondering if anyone had some first hand impressions on how the swap felt. Good and bad. Please something a little more then "it will go fast"

I don't know too awful much of the stock B16a but my friend had one with B16B internals that was absolutely ruthless in his partially gutted 93 hatch.
it will def be an upgrade to your D15 though, if you aint happy throw some boost at it, B's love boost.

Well a b16b is a de-stroked ITR and thus has more TQ then the other b16's. OP it feels like a D series down low IMHO the tq on a B16 is ONLY 4-5 more at peak then a D16 look on wiki at the specs on a D and then go look at the spec on you'r b16. will be better than you current engine however just don't expect a world of difference.
Your eye ***** will get sucked into the back of your head.
honestly, this thread doesnt belong in all motor. Good luck with your swap. Im sure you will enjoy it over your current D.
