Broken wheel stud
Ok So the rear wheel on my 90 Hatch has a broken wheel stud. I have the replacement, (bought a few just in case) and I was wondering how to replace it easily. I see where the caliper comes off and the rotor itself comes off with 2 phillips screws, is there more after that that needs to come out before I can remove the stud?
I see a few tutorials with front replacements but was not sure if the rears were the same.
Thanks in advance.

Pull the caliper and rotor off hammer out whats left of the broken stud then spin the hub until you have enough room to get the new stud through the hole and then put a lug nut on and use an impact to pull it through... ive never replaced a stud on an ef but shouldnt be much different than any other car or truck
depending on which model civic. the hub gets in the way of what you just said. on some models you have no choice but to press the hub out.
a ghetto way would be to grind down the base of the stud, so as to slide it past the hub.
you don't have to worry about a big hub for the rear. because no axle to go through the hub = smaller hub in the rear.
