engine cradle
Bent the mount location where my lower lca bolts in, local shop said I can just replace this as it is the engine cradle,
Any one know anything about changing them or. Compatiblity between cars?

it's called the rear crossmember and you can use one from the 88-91 civic CRX. i am not sure if the one from the RT4WD version is compatible.
the engine actually mounts in two spots on the chassis. And than has two mounts on the front and rear cross member. You can easily drop the cross member without dropping the motor.
I believe any 88-91 crx or hatch cross member will work. I am unsure on the 4 doors. But they should work too.

Thanks, I'm pretty familiar with these cars and all but I've never delt with the frame or cross members, not much bolts to it does there? Looks like the lca's and rear mount
looks to be fairly easy but can anyone clarify the part interchangeability?
local junk yard said a CRX HF wont fit but everything else will, that makes sense because I know the HF had a few different things on it between the si and dx,
can anyone confirm the CRX or any of the 3 body civics fit my 91 hatchback SI?
also does AT or MT change anything?
