Hi i have a eg hatch 94 si with a d15b and a z6 head running a p28 and a greddy fuel management system. ( this all came with the car when I bought it)
I just replaced the battery, engine oil n filter , spark plugs, spark plug wires.
And when the car is turned on this is the idle.. It goes from 1000-0 rpm and just keeps bouncing loke that then 30 secs later it goes to around... 1300 rpm. Ill upload vid real soon.

 

Also, Im wondering if this has anything to do with it? i found a hose blocked off with a nut and i followed it back to the canister back down there seen in pictures.

to hard to see from that pic but i'd guess it's leading to you'r evap system.

ugh my integra gs-r does that(idle pluse/almost choke out) i've posted in the integra section many a time....we've come no where. does you'r car do it only when cold ? mine did inprove when i threw in known good ls injectors(got them for free)

Yeahhh!! Only when its cold, someone told me to clean the IACV, FITV. Ill try that and post an updated vid on the car. Hopefully this works. You should try it out as well. Especially the IACV

 

I've cleaned the IACV countless times. my aftermarket TB doesn't use a FITV but that

 

I have a skunk2 tb, just cleaned the IACV. No change..

 

Same on the S2 tb. That's the same deal with my IACV to. But i've got low comp on cyl 2(180psi) rest are at 230psi. so im going to adress that soon. are you running rich and what's you'r compression ?

 

Never checked compressions i just got the car but i wil soon, also i have no clue how im running rich or lean right now haha,

 

You'll know when you pull the plugs to do the test. to much/little fuel can have an effect on the idle

 

How do i test that btw?

 

Air in the coolant system can screw with your idle. Try bleeding the system maybe?

I just tried cleaning my IACV but now my car wont start... Any ideas

 

Cranks but won't start or no crank?

 

Did you reconnect the power cable? Disconnect it and reconnect it. Did it click back into place? The engine won't turn over unless that circuit is connected. Is the IACV Snug against the throttle body?

 

You mean the intake manifold. I wouldn't correct, but don't want OP to get confused.

 

Does it quit revving up and down when you turn on the headlights ?

 

The car cranks and starts up but it dies in three secs.. The rpm doesnt go past 1000 on idle. Ill post a video of the current status.

 

Actually yes. When i got the car up to 1000 steady rpm and turned the headlights on the car actually almost shut off completely
