what other info should i give? uhh the engine swap is gonna be a h22 with an h2b kit, the exhaust system is ws2. when i replace the exhaust system im also gonna replace the cat converter. the cat connects to the headers right? so is it easier to get the engine swapped before the exhaust and cat or should i swap the engine before messing with the cat and exhaust? i hope thats enough info. lol if not i apologize.

If you're planning on doing the cat with the cat back system, you'll want to do the engine first. Ideally you'd do them all at the same time though.

do i buy the cat for the engine or just for my model civic? i also didn't word my question right before. im coming back home for 2 weeks then going back on deployment for another 2 months. during those 2 weeks i will only have time to either swap the engine or do the cat and exhaust. when i replace one of the 2 its gonna sit for those 2 months and then when i come back ill replace the other. so would you still recommend doing the engine first?

You'll buy the cat back for the chassis, the header for the motor, the axles for the chassis and transmission, and the cat from an exhaust shop that does the welding work for you. You'll probably need a custom length generic cat.

I don't see why you can't do both at the same time, but if you insist on splitting it up, yes, do the engine first. It'll be stupidly starved for air, but at least it'll be functional. You'll still (probably) need to replace your cat when you do the motor, rather than when you do the rest of the exhaust.
