Hi guys, as title says, I have a 99 honda civic SIR with a B16A2 motor, it was burning oil when purchased and with time got worse. So here I am, engines layed out in parts over the counter, I'm having a shop bore out the cylinders and well just check everything and crank for true and such.... just to make sure all my parts are healthy.

So anyways to the point.... I'm thinking to possibly "while I'm at it" upgrade the motor somewhat, It needs new pistons... So I'm thinking the Type R pistons, I'd like to keep it on 91 octane. Also i see some Edelbrock 4730 cams on ebay, can also get some valve springs with them for $440 total, not bad imo, and edelbrock does have a good reputation with its products, I have already ordered a new head with a porting job to it, It will have new injectors.... And I'll be looking for a chip soon too..., It already has a AEM intake, Aftermarket Headers and already on order a new exhaust system, Cat back.

So what do you guys figure on my "plan" anyways? any suggestions, ideas? Thanks!

 

P30 pistons or ctr pistons.
Heard good things bout that edelbrock intake cam
Exhaust looked a bit small but always in for results.
Drop some arp rod bolts & acl bearings
Some pro1's I think you can make good power.
Who ported the head? B16 is a work horse motor. Just needs to flow it'll make some power
Not so much torque but high end hp all day
