I am looking for any recommendations for a good shop that has experience with k-series engines and tuning. Looking for somewhere close by IA such as the twin cities, or even Chicago. Let me know

Pro Function Automotive for sure!

Mikey has tuned my car (K24a2 on KPRO) in several variations from NA to SC. Car gets tracked and street driven regularly. Tune has always felt spot on.

 

Thanks guys. Looks like pro function won't be able to get me in for a couple weeks at least.
Any other suggestions?

You can get the best tune for the $$$ there sure... but you can get the best tune period, from Mikey at profunction. He's seriously the one of the most legit people you'll ever meet. He remembered who I am and my name from meeting me 1 time, almost a year later. That wasn't even with his business, that was just from a track outing, which I might ad he sets up, and makes it unbelievably affordable, for us, not for him. Bar none worth the wait, even if it was months.

 

Mikey @ Profunction in Chicago tuned my K20 track car. I beat the crap out of it. No problems with the tune, I daily it, drive it to the track and home no problems. Very down to earth guy, he knows his stuff.

 

Mikey at Profunction he knows whats his doing. always helps me out when i ran into trouble with my car. they also do AWESOME WORK!!!! three years on my turbo D16 with tons of track time and 12,000 miles on the engine. couldn't be any happier!

After numerous calls to many shops and talking to lots of people I am scheduled with suja 1. Wish I could go to profunction and see Mikey but his schedule and my schedule don't match up this spring/summer. I don't have much free time as I am picking up extra shifts in preparation for a kid on the way and going to school full time.

 

You'll be more than happy with your car when pb is done. He's a awesome guy to deal with
