Re: best tuner in socal?
Also cause I didnt see them mentioned Bisi and MPT are in socal. It all depends on what unit you are trying to get tuned. Is it an AEM, Hondata, chrome or some variant like it, e-manage. What EMS are you using and we can probably narrow it down for you a little better.

pretty much
i went to bubba at do it dyno a few years ago... my only gripe is that we tuned the sohc vtec at 15 psi it made 188 whp on a greddy kit, and stock map sensor only supports 11.7psi and when we left it was pinging bad so we had to turn the boost down ...
but all in all bubba was a chill *** dude
then my friend took his car to church's on the same turbo kit, but this time i built him a vitara setup d16z6 and it made 193whp at 14psi but we had a 3 bar map sensor... it cracked ringlands 3 different times we were running .0035 p2w clearance
so i built him another motor and we used je pistons this time and we got a t3/t4 .50 trim got that tuned at 14psi and it made 220 or something like that, and it cracked the block
i looked at the tune and it said that it was set for 650cc injectors when he actually has 880cc injectors so idk wtf????
but i dont believe that shaun tuned his car those 2 times.... because the first time it got tuned it had the same problem we had dsm 440cc injectors and it said on the tune that they were 310
honestly i trust bubba and i trust shaun if they do the work i heard eugene at prostreet import is pretty good as well but ive never been there so i really cant give you an honest answer

to bad your not in nor-cal or i would tune it.
in socal i would take it to bisi...dynapack + a guy who understands physics and the actual science of how a motor works. it was a real treat gettin to talk to him in vegas when he was in the pit next to us...not many tuners out there actually understand what really goes on inside the motor.

i am curious if this will cause other issues.
currently i have issues with the injectors going to 0% while partial throttle. cause the car to have erractic drops of accellerations.

Re: best tuner in socal?
I don't think this is an old thread but hey what the heck!!!
Two of my buddy went to bubba=1 crack ringlands, other one dying at wot. Finally installed crome went for wot pulls on the street, my data showed his afr was at 10. Adjusted it to 12.5 and never had issued.
Church automotive- They never answer there ****in phones, maybe a good tuner but bad customer service.
OH well

Re: best tuner in socal?
Not anymore...
My boosted car was a 91 crx obd0 tuned with turboedit. My new project is a high comp lsv, that is why I purchase the crome lincense. I have had crome for awhile but only used it once of my buddy's car.
I'm still going to tinker with it, with my new project.

Bisi
Church- Shawn or todd
Prostreeet- eugune
Do it dyno- All I can say is that they blew 3 off our builds and 2 customers car. One of the motors was built by g.e. and not us and it blew withen 15 min. I seen video of one of our builds and the car was taking off the trailer and strapped down. Full pull on a cold car
And he was very ruff on the car. I seen him do good jobs on certaint peoples cars. But some of the maps I have seen makes me ? the tune.

Oldish thread but yes indeed a very rough tuner unless you personally know em.

Hands down go to Bisimoto Engineering in Ontario, CA; I just came back from there and "wow" is all I can say. Bisi, Hedi and Julio are amazing, you will not regret taking your car there.
