Default B16A swapped ek wont crank, no clicking, good battery, need adivice on where to start

I had the car sitting for a few weeks, went to start it and nothing. It has an aftermarket alarm installed(on the car when I got it 8 years ago) never had any issues with it before. The engine will run when I bump start it, and the battery is good. It doesn't click repeatedly like it would with a dead battery, it just does nothing. I can hear a relay click when I try to start. The fuel pump primes when ign is switched on, and you can hear the relays just as normal. something tells me it isn't the starter. I need advice on where to begin to troubleshoot this. I am good with engines, but I am terrible at wiring. I obviously checked fuses and made sure all the connections on the starter and solenoid were good and tight. Is there a way to supply power directly to the starter to test it? Id love to rip all the aftermarket alarm crap out of it, but whenever I look at it, it seems rather daunting. Any help is greatly appreciated

99% positive starter is stuck in disengaged position, can be tested by any mechanic with a long screwdriver.

Clutch safety switch grommet that is on the top of your clutch pedal is probably gone.

Bang on the starter sol. a couple of times while someone tries and starts it.

If it starts its the starter.

Also just check the ground wire that runs from the starter, could be lose.

You can always splice the two wires together and be rid of the neutral safety switch all together.

You can make sure it's not your starter and take it to a store to get tested. It's free and will take that out of the question. Only takes about 10-15 minutes to take it out of the car.

Your absolutely right about that. A few yrs back, i bought ( i think it was called) A Grounding kit. (UNIVERSAL) and it made a world of difference. My car started up faster and just ran a bit better. I kid you not, placibo affect or not. It was worth it. Think it was like 60.00 8 yrs ago. Should be cheaper now.

This is a noob question but how do you do that? Like splice and and wire it together? Do a quick write up here? >.<

wow thanks for all the quick replies! I just got home from work a bit ago and decided to check the clutch switch first and that was absolutely it. I could see the grommet missing and the switch was going right through the hole in the pedal. I made a jumper and eliminated the switch. Everything is smooth sailing again!

now if I only had 10K laying around to ever finish this damn thing..

You are correct. Just splice both wires together. When doing this, you are getting rid of the switch , which in turn are making a complete circuit. ( your grounding it out)
