Z6/y7 swap into 90 sedan civic help
Im new to messing with these honda and dont really know to much about them but i just swapped this in because it was a spare motor and the a6 that was in it took a dump. Apparently to make it work i gotta use the ecu that came with that motor and need to get a jumper harness but all of them say 5-speed only. Is there Any way to make this work or do i just need to swap in the 5 speed i have for it and just get whatever i need to make it a 5-speed car?
You're gonna have to use the driver side motor Mount bracket from your old motor so it'll drop in
Is the motor you have a mini-me (non vtec bottom with vtec head)

The Z6 and Y7 are not the same animal.
The Z6 is an OBD1 engine and the OBD0 distributor in your A6 will not bolt up to the Z6 head.
The Y7 is an OBD2 engine, BUT the OBD0 distributor on the A6 WILL bolt right up to the Y7 head.
So, stay with a Y7, much easier.
All you need to do is remove the A6 and transfer everything from the A6 to the Y7.
I mean everything, like motor mounts and brackets, alternator, distributor, intake and exhaust manifolds, wiring harness, etc, etc.
