Default 91 civic hatch won't start

I just swapped the engines in my car cause the one in it stopped running but I swapped it with another stock one and put my tranny and starter on and now when I try to start it the starter only clicks once so I bench tested it and that starter was bad. I went to autozone and bought a new one but its still doing the same thing. Everytime I try to crank it the starter clicks once and the dash lights turn off. I'm clueless right now any help will b great.

Ok so I ended up getting a new battery and now it starts but check engine code 5 for a dpfi set up and I'm not sure what that is

dpfi is "dual point fuel injection." Sounds like you either installed a motor that isn't the same as your original motor (therefore, not compatible with your ECU) or it is more highly likely that you don't have all the sensors plugged in correctly. If all the sensors, injectors, etc are plugged in correctly, then I would start by testing the 2 injectors in the motor you just put in.

Are you certain that you didn't have code 5 on the old motor also?
