is there any way a rack n pinion i got has only 2 holes where the hoses run instead of 3. also the spindle that connects to ur steering column is a lil bigger than my oem rack n pinion. and my oem one has 3 holes for the power steering hose.....

93 del sol s. was originally auto now manual.

 

you could have an integra rack, they have 2 holes for the hoses

 

the place i ordered it from said 94-01 teg and 93-97 del sol. my motor is lsv with gsr head and i guess its the teg power steering system too. not sure. but it has 3 lines running on the rack. to where my original one only had 1.

are you able to post a pic of it, and im pretty sure that the civic and del sols have the same steering racks and the integras had different ones

u think the people at advance auto will know the difference if i go buy a civic rack from them and just return the teg rack?

 

i dont think they will care as long as they get a rack for the core, just make sure it has the right amount of holes

 

The rack in the link you posted is not for a 93 it says so in the listing. not that it is completely accurate. It says 93-97 del sol WITH VTEC OHC only. That rack was used starting in 95 for VTEC cars and in 96 and 97 for VTEC and Si cars.

The joint between the column and the rack are also different between the early and later del sols.

I suspect that when the swap was done the original power steering system was used.

 

Don't think the OP is talking about as a core. believe the idea is to get the right rack put the one he has in the box and return it as not used. They may not notice but the next guy that gets it will.
