Icon6 Cluster issues for a 91 Civic hatch

Hello,
I am new to the site and am not going to lie this is the first Honda I have owned and am running into a bit of a slight problem with the Gas, Tach and temp guage. The guages worked fine this morning and when I was on my way home from work I noticed that none of the guages listed above were working..? I checked all fuses which were fine, I even took the instrument cluster out and everything was in place, but yet these guages are still not working. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly apperciated!

Slap the top of the dashboard 1 or 2 times. lol It's amazing how many cars that works on. Also, you can try to: Turn the key all the way to starter (which starts it), but then release the key to the normal position......Finally, try to move the key slightly toward and away from the starter-position.

But for more technical advice, I'd suggest checking the fuse again and be sure you check both fuse boxes (in-car and under-hood) for any fuse related to the gauge cluster. If all fuses are good, you will need a testlight or multimeter to confirm voltage making it to the IGN signals on the back of the cluster. If you can confirm that the IGN key switch is providing voltage to tell the gauges to work, then you should start hunting for 1 common ground wire for all non-functioning gauges...clean up the ground contact.

Thank you for your reply, I am new to this Honda stuff but I will double check the fuses and try to smack on the dash to see if that will hopefully work. Everything in the car is pretty much stock except for the engine it has a b20 engine with a stock 91 SI cluster. The swap shouldnt cause any issues with the cluster would

I can't imagine that the engine or cluster swap would affect the cluster operation UNLESS some modification to the cluster wiring was involved. When you had it open, could you tell if any wire modifications were made? (i.e.: a big red or black wire might be run to the cluster to supply 12v or GROUND)

Especially don't forget to try moving the key forward and back from it's natural resting "started" position....that is to test for poor connection of the ignition switch...but then again, I guess the car would probably not run because that same switch tells the important engine functions to continue idling the engine....nevermind that unless you just want to try it.

If they all went out at the same time, they are sharing a power or a ground...gotta figure out what signal is missing....
