Default gauge cluster help please

I just traded some parts for 99 civic si cluster. I have a 96 dx automatic coupe. Looking at the plugs only one fits. There are 4 plugs from the dx harness 2 blue 1 green 1 yellow. The si cluster has 3 outlets 1 yellow 1 small green and another with a bunch of small holes as a large outlet. So do I need to sway out the dash harness or get the plugs from manual and install into that harness if that will even work. Please if anyone knows let me know

are you talking about the pig tails not fitting into the back of the cluster it's self ?. all 96-00 civic clusters are compatable, pretty sure that goes for auto's also. I had an auto cluster in my m/t teg once(just to see if mine was broken) worked fine ran out of tach to soon but other than that.

Ok but the 2 blue ones will fit ?. That's really strange I could have sworn that regardless of trans(MT/AT) the clusters from 96-00 civics we cross compatable. Maybe someone with more knowlage can confirm/correct this.

Your green male is for the shift indicators, since you have an automatic. You don't see this female plug in the donor Si cluster ... since it is from a manual. If you want to run the Si cluster, you'll be doing without. Sorry.

The green female plug on the Si cluster is for Cruise Control, which your DX does not have.

no place for these
ORLY? Top and side.

You'll probably feel like an idiot now, but hey - we were all n00bs at one time or another.

What about getting a manual dash wire harness? Would that solve my issue cuz I dont see wherr the blues are going to go and all I can run is the yellow which says revs under it. Id like to be able to see how fast I am going lol. My car is apart right now with really the dash being the only thing not taken apart so it wont be a huge issue if I have to remove

Didn't you take those blue plugs out of your old cluster? And note where they came out of? Well, they go back in the same place on the Si cluster. Why would we lie to you? Plug and play. Please go try, then come back here and apologize for wasting everyone's time.

yes i did but it was a while ago and ive been taking apart countless other things while remembering where they go, yeah my mistake. i never once said anything about anyone lying i was confused it happens to everyone. also why would i "apologize for wasting everyone's time" when i was asking for help on a website where clearly people ask for help when they are confused on something.

done deal thanks for the help
