Okay, I have a b16a1 w/ ctr pistons. It ran perfect till one day when i missed gears and over reved it and bent a valve, since then I have gone through numerous reapirs, and still can't figure out why my car still misfires.
this is what I have done:

-I have changed heads
-leak down test checks out, losing 5% acroos through piston rings
-new distributor rotor and cap
-new map
-cat looks okay from inside
-no vacuum leaks
-Timing checks out
-running 45 psi w/ 310 inj
-new pcv sys.
-all inj. click during idle
-new o2 's
-checked the spark plug wires
-new plugs

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

 

hhhmmm with a new head you shoundnt have any problem with the valve springs being bad or anything else mechanically wrong... I would say check your ignition system.... be careful though, when i converted my 2.0 conversion in my rabbit to a knock box system with a electronically advanced dist. It worked for a while then started misfiring like crazy, weeks went by and I checked my wiring over and over, finally fed up with the system, ripped it out and reinstalled vac advance, only to find it still missfired.... took it to a shop and found out that 2 of my injectors were clogged (injectors that the last shop supposedly replaced > ) so it turns out it was misfiring because of a fuel issue. If your head and ecu are straight, I would say check ignition and fuel delivery and all the small things... hope this helps.

 

maybe switch the 02 sensor pins... C8 and C16
