Bent Gearshift Rod
Hey everyone,
I'm just curious how hard it is to replace number 1 in the below diagram.

I was having a leak in my hydro GSR transmission in my 94 Civic EX and I changed the seal but I still have the leak so I got back under after doing some searching and realized how bent it is and that's what is probably causing the leak.

Is it overwhelming opening the case up for the first time? I've done almost ever other thing I can think of to a EG or B/D series besides opening the transmission.
Thanks for the help!

Highly unlikely it is bent. Pull the linkage off, pull it as far out as possible and put a straight edge on it. If its bent you would have more problems than just a leaky seal.
if it was bent i would think you would have issues changing gears, hows the axle seals? they will leak and trail other places making it look like leaks in other places
I don't feel like it's bent a lot, just enough to cause a gap in the seal and make it leak. It could be the other seals though, I'll check this week and let you know.
