1992 CIVIC IACV BOLTS PROBLEM HELP

Default 1992 CIVIC IACV BOLTS PROBLEM HELP

hello HT

yesterday i remove idle air control valve to clean it every thing was fine but when re install it i damaged the thread in the down hole bolt and the bolt lose now and my car idle like b**** this is my dd car i dont have another car
what can i do to fix it ? should i remove the the intake and make new thread or or i try to change the bolt i am confuse dont no what to do HELPPP please

Either remove the intake or remove some motor mounts and turn or hoist/move forward the engine to get access for helicoil but either way that sucks. Try jamming a toothpick or small diameter copper wire in there see if it will catch some threads/tighten up any. Cant hurt.. Slightly larger/longer bolt?
Careful tightening into aluminium. Sometimes it has been overtightened previously and can't be helped.
Always consider surgery outcomes on a dd. Maybe some type of clamp can hold the IACV in place until you can fix it right.

i will try to make new thread if its possible without removing the intake otherwise i will remove it and fix it .

Do you have access to a tap and die kit?
You could try to find that thread pitch and try to chase the threads first and see if that will fix it.

i solved the the problem by using a high quality gasket maker for the time been until i have time to remove the intake and fix it or but another one for better performance
thanks guys for the advises .

one more question .

now the car idle fine but when i accelerate the pedal gas the car would not go only if the rpm is over 3k if its below that starts shaking and i noticed when i turn the key to on II
i cant hear the fuel pump prim for 2 seconds any ideas for now before i destroy it because its driving me to be crazy i like my car i dont want heart it .

if any one knows what is the causes for this problem please help

i will read the codes today and i will let you know .

it was really funny about this car

yesterday i check the wiring and all sensors positions.when i reach to the TPS sensor i found one wire not connected to the plug so i just change the plug and reset the ecu everything is perfect now .
