Hi everybody, I have a 1993 Honda Civic CX. The low beams & dash lights stopped working, but the blinkers & high beams still work. I have checked the fuses under the dash and they're fine, although one socket has a 30amp in it when it should be a 10amp it says. I noticed that the switch to turn the headlights on became a little harder to turn before they went out, and now that they don't work, the switch turns easier. I also smelled an electrical smell while driving the car. Do you know what it could be? Any help would be appreciated.

I think it might be the turn signal switch, but I would like to know what you others think, before I spend money on one. I did do a search, but people had HID's, or their issue wasn't as similar.

Why is there a 30amp fuse? What else has been modified on this car?

 

The car is all stock, just had the wrong fuse.

 

Did you check fuses underhood?

 

Yes, they're fine. I forgot to mention that my dash lights stopped lighting up, also.

 

Sounds like the switch.
