Need advise_EF Gas Tank_D15z7
Hi Everyone,
I would like to get advise from the EF gurus being well versed in transplants. My EF1 has been transplanted a d15z7 and had a carburetor d series originally. The tank (being built for a carburetor)had two fuel outlets and one has been eliminated so as to use with the d15z7. The issue i am having is that the filler cap is bayonet type and on hot days, gas vapour builds up in the tank and escapes where it can through the the suppresed outlet and/or near the fuel pump. Having gotten rid of my rear seats, the whole cabin smells like gas and is very annoying/stressful. The gas vapour builds to such a point that when i remove the filler cap, a pressure noise is heard. What can i do to fix this problem?
Please help....

The tankis soposed to build some pressure. You may want to check out the filler tube and the hoses to the tank to see I there's a leak or loose clamp. A smoke machine would b best for this but I'm sure you dnt have one
