Hi I have a couple of problems and am hoping some on here might be able to help. The first problem is when i open the gas filler cap there's no pressure/noise when opening the cap and the second problem is when i fill up the gas tank to full I get the smell of gas when driving with the windows down and it will keep smelling until the tank is half empty/full. I don't know if the issues are related or not

Thing's that were replaced:
The fuel pump was replaced about 2 years ago ( i checked and rechecked for leaks found none.)
Charcoal canister replaced
fuel filter

If anyone can help that would be great.

sounds like you have a rusty tank.

That's possible, Ive also heard it could be a rusted filler tube too. I'll have to check both out but its hard to check under the car dew to it being lowered
