I was driving down the street and my car died.. the battery lost power and the windows stop letting down and the numbers on the speedometer stopped working. At first i though it was the alternator but that wouldn't explain the window problems and i tried starting to wit a new battery. I just got a computer from the junk yard and everything matches except the last two digits. After trying the computer the same thin happens which is nothing. Could it be that because all the numbers didn't match that its still not working or do i have a bigger issue. I was told by the guy that in the computer the it s ays that it would still be a match.. help needed badly.

 

I think with or without the ecu the windows should be working...

are the headlight working?

what are the number from the old ecu and the new ecu?

 

Any blown fuses? Good connections on battery terminals and ground points? Possible ignition switch or main relay problems.
