Default 98' JDM ITR header

would a 98 JDM ITR header fit a 2001 LS?? would it give better gains than a dc sport 4-1 header?

Yes it will bolt on. You need a different or modified cat to accept the new collector size.

It will definately give you gains over the DC 4-1 header.

would that big of a header be too big for an I/H/C/E setup for an LS? and i might possible do cams or adj cam gears also. how much weight would i reduce with this header? if i use a ITR exhaust would i be restricting airflow??

your not gonna loose much weight if any. if you use the itr exhaust with it yes it would restrict air flow a bit since the header is 2.5'colector and the ITR exhaust is a bottlenecked 2.25'.

You guys actually recommend a 4-1 header with a 2.5" collector for a mildly modified LS?

BTW, it's about 10lbs. lighter than the OEM cast iron manifold.

the WS isnt bottle necked so it will flow better then the type R. you dont really need any bigger the 60mm.

My recommendation for a street-driven LS would be the Comptech 4-2-1, or maybe a DC 4-2-1.

I do not think that a 4-1 header with a large collector would be well-suited to the power delivery characteristics of the B18B. But if anybody cares to prove me wrong I'm all ears.
