Default itr header

i have a 94 gsr and i am thinking about going with the jdm itr header but i dont want to hack it to get a cat. and an exhaust to fit. so i was wondering if i can get away with getting the itr header, a cat for the itr or ls, and a catback for the itr or ls. i was also wondering if there would be any power difference between the jdm itr header and a dc sports 4-1 header for the gsr. and if it helps i am going with the skunk 2 catback which is 2.5". i tryed to search but came up with nothing. thank you

You won't have to hack up the header, you would just need to cut a section of the exhaust piping and put a new flange or get a 2.5" high flow cat.

The JDM ITR header won't directly bolt to any USDM set up because of the 2.5" collector, so your proposal of getting an itr header, itr/ls cat and exhaust would work only if you were using an USDM itr header. The JDM is going to require some hacking/welding in all circumstances. I would suggest, since you have a 94 GSR, that you get the JDM itr header, get a fairly short high flow cat with a 2.5" flange made by SMSP or Kteller8 so that it would match up to your Skunk2 catback without needing to cut your exhaust piping. The LS b-pipe will be shorter than the GSR b-pipe, so whoever makes your cat will need that info to get the right measurements.

what i should have said was that i am also getting a high flow cat with 2.5 " flanges and a catback that is 2.5". i just want to know what will line up with out cutting and welding anything.

it all depends on the measurements of your high flow cat, the jdm itr is longer than both the usdm itr/ls and the usdm gsr header, regardless of year. So, get the jdm itr, get an LS/ITR/2000-2001 GSR skunk2 exhaust, and then figure out what length you need the cat to be. If you talk to SMSP or Kteller8 about it, they should know the exact dimensions you need and will make a custom cat for you with a 2.5" flange that will fit your needs.

not really, most aftermarket exhausts these days are 60mm (2.36") anyway.
