My first post. I am in the middle of a rebuild of a 94 del sol S. Its the 1.5L engine and I want to know if a camshaft for a Si 1.6 sohc will work. I have heard yes and know. Help, its important. ASAP

 

If your talking about a 88-91 si with d16a6 then yes it will fit as a d15b7 is basically a de-stroked a6.

If your talking about a 92-95 si with d16z6 then no. Cant run a vtec cam in non vtec engine.

 

You can run the A6 camshaft in the B7. Thats what I am going to run. Delta 272 regrind of the A6 camshaft atleast. Let me find the write up on it.

thanks. I was sent a 1.6 sohc vtec when I specifically said it wasnt a vtec. Its an S model but I found a cam at Gude so its on the way. I have over 1.2 million miles on Hondas and Acuras. I am making a project car for the street with this little Del Sol. Looking forward to the finished product. Companies sending me parts ordered are the problem. Hope to have it finished next week.
