I have a 1997 honda civic coupe ex with a B18c swap, earlier this week i replaced the transmission and before i did that. vtec would engage. Now that ive replaced transmission and hooked everything back up the way it was, vtec will NOT pop at all. Any idea's of what this could be? I have all grounds connected, even the vtec oil pressure ground, along with trans, starter, alt., and valve cover. No fuses are blown, all are brand new alond with brand new ground wires.

PLEASE HELP!!!

My speedo is working, rpms are working, CEL is on, and my engine is surging from 1000 to 2000 rpms..

 

Is there are a reason you havent pull what code(s) the cel is throwing?
Your awnser will 99% be from the code(s).

If I knew my cel was on, 1st thing would be to pull the codes, and go from there. You've been wasting time sitting here waiting for us to be mind readers.

Pull the codes, look them up, if you're at a loss as what to do, come back and list what codes they are.

 

most parts places, autozone and advanced auto parts, hell even my local no name part place will pull CEL codes for free.

Thought it was only for the O2 sensor, but i apologize i havent pulled the codes for you guys to further helping me out. Im going to stop at advanced auto on my way home from the docs and get the codes so i can get this back to its normal state. I appreciate you guys hanging in there with me and for the help.
