Default Check engine light on EM1??

I was just driving my car and went into high rpms and the CEL came on. Is there anyone that can provide a link on how to check what it means on an OBDII b16? I only found for 92-95 civic. Thank you very much, please help me out by providing a link with a tutorial!

it was long long short short....so im guessing thats 22, and that means vtec pressure valve.....can someone please explain what that means and what do i have to replace to fix it? i reset the battery and it came off and i tested it by driving into vtec and it seems as if there was a rev limiter at like 6500, and it only started the CEL in vtec.

wow syndicate guessed it. Vtec solenoid...

reset the CEL by undoing the battery for 5 mins.

see if VTEC works. Check oil level and make sure car is at operating temp before attempting. If anything, take off VTEC solenoid and see if the screen is clogged.

already did this and vtec works but starts stuttering in the high end....does taking off the solenoid and cleaning it sound like a good idea?

okay i figured it out, boo me, well i took it apart, wiped the filter and cleaned it with a little oil, one thing i did do is drop the half of the solenoid that connects to the engine on the ground and then it fell apart, a rod and a hearing aid battery size thing. So i put it together, put some new oil in since alot of oil poured out and went for a drive. redlined through 3 gears and seems to respond a little better and no CEL. Thank you H-T!
