Default Not the usual Honda idle problem.

My 94 Accord has had a surging idle basically since I did my 5spd conversion this last December. I've ignored it and attempted to fix it numerous ways during which none have worked. Let me say this now I have NOT thrown money at this issue, I've simply replaced basic things.

1. My FITV is blocked off via the CustomBilletWorks FITV block off plate with new OEM O-Rings (idle issue was there before this).
2. The coolant has been flushed, replaced, and bled numerous times over the last three months (new radiator, then heater hose broke).
3. I have cleaned the IACV and added a new OEM O-Ring, along with plenum gasket and throttle body gasket.
4. I have zero vacuum leaks, as a matter of fact I only have one vacuum line on my entire setup which leads to the fuel regulator (Cruise, EGR, rear motor mount, etc. removed). All other vacuum ports are blocked off with store bought size-matched vacuum caps.
5. Throttle cable is adjusted to spec, and the TPS should be in working order.

What am I doing wrong? There are no vacuum leaks from what I can tell, coolant is bled, and the intake setup is completely stock. The only thing I can think of is my ghetto EGR delete, the hardware is removed but the ECU is stock with a stock ROM so I get the occasional CEL. I have a semi sluggish start, but I'm not aware of any connections between those issues.

I've seen all the videos, tested all the components. I even bought a junkyard IACV which I cleaned and installed and had the same results.

Mods you can go and delete this thread. The throttle adjustment on the pulley for the cruise control has vibrated making the throttle plate not seat correctly. Stupid uncommon issue has been fixed.

I would leave the thread just in case someone else in your situation runs into the same problem.

Yes? lol Why can't I? Please tell me there is something I haven't read about where you have to swap throttle bodies. It will give me an excuse to get the Phearable 68mm I want to get..

Btw. The idle issue came back.. If I hold the throttle shut with force and it stops, thought it would for sure solve it... Thottle is SPOTLESS on the inside.

perhaps someone messed with the throttle stop screw....sounds like you now have a reason to get a manual throttle body

I as of yesterday adjusted the the throttle plate screw, thought it would work.. It's odd, when I force the throttle shut it goes away. I figured if I backed out the screw it would normalize (I was able to see light from my iPhones flashlight through the plate). Guess not, I just want to get my F23A1 manifold installed along with that Phearable TB. I took a video of it because I was astonished.

dont think ive ever heard of someone running an automatic tb with a swapped 5spd, glad the problem wasnt caused by the mods i had a simular problem to this, it ended up being a vacuum leak from the egr service ports cover not sealing right (the big aluminum plate under the fuel rail) it took me forever to figure out where it was comming from!!

I've heard of people having issues with the springs on the throttle body. Perhaps it's binding. You can try spraying some lithium grease all around the spring.
